Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal Reviews Arrangements for Shravan Ashtami Fair at Chintpurni

Emphasis on Better Pilgrim Facilities, Safety and Smooth Darshan Arrangements

Chintpurni, Una, August 17, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal on Monday reviewed arrangements being made for the convenience and safety of devotees during the ongoing Shravan Ashtami Fair at Mata Shri Chintpurni. The review meeting was held at Mai Das Sadan, where the Deputy Commissioner assessed preparations for the successful and smooth conduct of the fair and issued necessary directions to officials for further improving arrangements.

Following the meeting, Jatin Lal inspected the Mata Shri Chintpurni temple complex and reviewed arrangements made for devotees at Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 2. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure adequate deployment of police personnel at both gates so that devotees could have darshan in an orderly manner through the designated queue system.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasised that the safety of devotees must remain the administration’s top priority and directed officials to ensure that there is no lapse in security arrangements.

He also reviewed traffic and parking arrangements in the fair area and instructed officials to ensure that heavy vehicles are parked only at designated parking locations. This, he said, would prevent unnecessary congestion on main roads and pedestrian routes and ensure that devotees face no inconvenience while walking.

Jatin Lal also reviewed other essential facilities available in the fair area. He directed all concerned departments to maintain continuous monitoring of arrangements throughout the fair and take immediate corrective action wherever required.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of close coordination among all departments and called upon officials to work with utmost promptness to provide better facilities to devotees. He said that a large number of devotees are visiting Mata Shri Chintpurni during the Shravan Ashtami Fair and the district administration is committed to providing them with a safe, convenient and well-organised environment for darshan.
