CSR Projects in Chamba to Be Completed on Time: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal

Chamba, August 4: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal directed officials to ensure the timely completion of development projects being implemented under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVN) in aspirational Chamba district.

Chairing a review meeting, the DC assessed the progress of CSR-funded projects aimed at strengthening healthcare and education infrastructure. He said a ₹4.76 crore nutrition project under the ICDS department has helped reduce the number of malnourished children in the district from 4,687 to 2,269 through targeted nutrition and health interventions.

The meeting also reviewed the installation of a modern 4D ultrasound machine at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, completion of lighting works at Government Senior Secondary School, Sihunta, and the ongoing installation of high-mast lights at Chuwari.

Repswal instructed departments to ensure effective utilisation of CSR funds and accelerate project execution so that beneficiaries receive timely benefits. SJVN officials reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting regional development through CSR initiatives.
