Himachal's First E-Bus Depot Inaugurated in Haroli

115 Electric Buses Allocated to Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency

Haroli (Una) | August 2: Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri inaugurated Himachal Pradesh’s first HRTC e-bus depot and the corporation’s regional office at Haroli on Sunday. He also launched an EV charging station, flagged off four new bus services and announced the commencement of the Haroli–Shri Chintpurni bus route.

Addressing a public gathering, Agnihotri said that out of the 297 new electric buses inducted into the HRTC fleet, 115 have been allocated to the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. The Haroli e-bus depot will operate 20 electric buses, while 50 e-buses will serve Una district, significantly strengthening public transport and connectivity.

He announced that e-bus depots are also being developed at Theog, Nahan and Nadaun, and declared that Kangra will also get an e-bus depot. Electric bus services from Una will be flagged off on Monday.

The Deputy Chief Minister further announced that the Amb bus stand will be completed within a year and that the redevelopment of the Shri Chintpurni Temple will begin soon with an estimated investment of ₹250 crore.

He also said the state government will provide ₹1,000 crore for the Bulk Drug Park being developed in Haroli. In addition, Una’s old bus stand will be transformed into a modern city centre, and a tyre retreading plant will be established in the district.

Agnihotri reaffirmed his commitment to Haroli’s development, stating that he would continue serving the constituency throughout his life and that inclusive development remains his top priority.
