Hamirpur to Get Modern Street Food Hub at Heeranagar

Hamirpur | August 1: The Hamirpur district administration is set to develop a modern Street Food Hub at the outer area of the Children’s Park in Heeranagar, creating a new recreational destination for residents and visitors. The project, to be developed by the Forest Department at an estimated cost of around ₹1 crore, aims to offer a clean and vibrant food experience.

The food hub will feature a wide range of cuisines, including traditional Himachali dishes such as Dham, Siddu, Makki ki Roti and Sarson ka Saag, along with Indian favourites like dosa, idli, samosa and tikki, besides continental food and other popular delicacies. Food quality and hygiene will be maintained in accordance with National Health Mission standards.

Deputy Commissioner Gandharva Rathore said the initiative addresses the long-felt need for a family-friendly outing spot where people can enjoy quality food without worrying about parking. The project is also expected to provide organised business space for local vendors and enhance the image of Hamirpur as a leisure destination.
