HPTDC to Organise Statewide Blood Donation Camps on July 27

1 min read

Dharamshala, July 25 : Reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has directed all its hotel units across the state to organise Blood Donation Camps on July 27, 2026, in collaboration with nearby health institutions.

In an official communication issued by the Managing Director, HPTDC emphasized that blood donation is a life-saving act of generosity, playing a vital role in surgeries, trauma care, cancer treatment and the management of chronic illnesses. With hospitals requiring thousands of units of blood every day, voluntary blood donation remains essential to meet the constant demand and save precious lives.

The Corporation noted that every unit of donated blood can make a critical difference during medical emergencies and contributes significantly to the well-being of patients in need.

The initiative follows HPTDC’s ongoing efforts towards social and environmental responsibility, including its recently launched statewide tree plantation drive aimed at combating the effects of global warming.

All Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of HPTDC hotel complexes have been instructed to coordinate with local health institutions to organise blood donation camps within their respective premises. Units have also been directed to share photographs of the camps through the E-Office system and ensure wide publicity through various media platforms.

Through this initiative, HPTDC seeks to encourage voluntary blood donation and strengthen its contribution to community welfare and public health.
