Congress Stages Statewide Protest Over Alleged Ram Temple Donation Scam

Shimla, July 14: The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday held statewide protests alleging irregularities in Ram Temple donation funds, with party workers marching from Rajiv Bhawan to the Ram Temple in Shimla while singing devotional hymns.

Addressing the gathering, AICC spokesperson and Theog MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore accused the BJP of shielding those allegedly responsible and demanded a transparent investigation into the matter. He claimed the alleged misuse of donations had hurt the religious sentiments of devotees and criticized the Centre over its silence on the issue.

District Congress leaders said the campaign would be expanded to block and village levels across the state to raise awareness over the allegations. Senior Congress leaders, elected representatives and party workers participated in the protest held under the joint banner of the Shimla Urban and Rural District Congress Committees.
