District-Level Piplu Fair to Begin on June 24; Cultural Performances to Take Centre Stage
1 min readUna, June 22: Preparations for the historic District-Level Piplu Fair 2026 have been nearly completed ahead of its three-day celebration from June 24 to 26 at the Lord Narasimha Temple in Piplu, Bangana. Organized on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, the fair will feature religious ceremonies, cultural performances, sports events, exhibitions, and entertainment activities.
SDM Bangana and Fair Committee Chairman Sonu Goyal said the event will commence on June 24 with traditional prayers and a flag-hoisting ceremony at the temple, followed by cultural programmes. Development exhibitions by various government departments and performances by local and emerging artists will also be part of the festivities.
Renowned folk singer Kaku Ram Thakur will perform on June 24, while popular singers Kumar Sahil and Sunil Masti will entertain audiences on June 25. On June 26, Himachali singers Inshant Bhardwaj and Mohit Garg will perform at Piplu. The same evening, the Kutlehar Mahotsav at Bhalet, Bangana, will feature Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu and Nati artist Kuldeep Sharma.
Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma (Vicky) said the Piplu Fair represents the region’s rich cultural heritage, religious faith, and social harmony. He urged people to participate in large numbers and contribute to the success of the event.
