CBSE In-House Workshop on Computational Thinking and AI Held at St. Thomas’ School

St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, successfully organized a CBSE In-House Workshop on Assessment and Pedagogy in Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), aimed at enhancing educators’ understanding of innovative teaching methodologies and assessment practices in these emerging fields.

The workshop commenced with a warm welcome address by the Principal, Mrs. Sharon Nanda, who extended her greetings to the resource persons, judges, and participating educators. She highlighted the growing significance of Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence in contemporary education and emphasized the need to equip students with future-ready skills.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers of St. Thomas’ School as well as educators from various other institutions. Participants presented case studies and research papers on diverse aspects of Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence, covering topics such as innovative classroom practices, emerging technologies, assessment strategies, and the integration of AI into the teaching-learning process.

The presentations provided a valuable platform for educators to exchange ideas, share experiences, and discuss best practices in implementing CT and AI concepts in classrooms. The case studies and presentations were evaluated by an esteemed panel comprising Mr. Balvir Singh Thakur from Himachal Pradesh University, Mrs. Harsh Gupta, and Mr. Hitesh, who served as judges for the event. The judges appreciated the participants’ efforts and insightful presentations, while offering valuable feedback and recommendations. They emphasized the need for adopting innovative pedagogical approaches and robust assessment practices to ensure students are well-prepared for the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Principal, Mrs. Sharon Nanda, who expressed her appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of all educators and acknowledged their valuable contributions in making the event a resounding success.
