Bahra University Holds Workshop on Student Mental Wellness and Stress Management

Solan, Himachal Pradesh: , through its Department of Students Welfare, organised an interactive and insightful workshop on “Emotional Wellbeing & Stress Management” aimed at helping students build emotional resilience and mental wellness during a crucial academic phase.

Held under the theme “Know Yourself – Look Within, Live Better,” the session was conducted by renowned transformational psychologist and counsellor Dr Shikha Sareen, who addressed students on emotional wellness, stress management, self-awareness and positive thinking.

The workshop was organised at a significant time when board examination and competitive exam results are being declared across the country, often leading to stress, anxiety and uncertainty among students regarding admissions, career choices and future goals.

During the session, Dr. Sareen guided students on managing emotional pressure, overcoming self-doubt, building confidence and maintaining a positive outlook while dealing with academic and personal challenges. She also shared practical techniques for improving emotional balance and mental wellbeing.

Speaking on the occasion, Anurag Avasthi said emotional wellbeing is equally important as academic growth and career development in a student’s life.

He noted that today’s youth face immense pressure due to studies, competition, expectations and future planning, making mental wellness and emotional strength essential for overall success and personality development.

Highlighting the university’s student-centric approach, Mr. Avasthi said Bahra University continuously strives to create a supportive and motivating campus environment where students feel guided, empowered and emotionally secure.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments and created a positive atmosphere encouraging students to prioritise emotional health alongside academic excellence.

University officials said such initiatives form an important part of holistic student development and help young learners develop confidence, leadership qualities and a healthier perspective towards life.
