55 Candidates File Nominations for Zila Parishad Elections in Una

Una, May 11: A total of 55 candidates have filed nomination papers for the Zila Parishad elections in Una under the Panchayati Raj Institutions General Elections-2026.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal informed that 31 candidates submitted their nomination papers on the final day of the nomination process on Monday.
He said that 10 candidates had filed nominations on the first day, while 14 candidates submitted their papers on the second day of the nomination process.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, eight candidates filed nominations from various Zila Parishad wards under Una subdivision, seven candidates from Haroli subdivision, four from Bangana subdivision, seven from Gagret subdivision and five candidates from Amb subdivision on the final day.
The District Election Officer further stated that scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on May 12 from 10 am, while candidates will be allowed to withdraw nominations on May 14 and 15. After completion of the withdrawal process, election symbols will be allotted and the final list of candidates will be published.
