Hari Krishan Himral appointed as the War Room Incharge

Shimla, May 08: The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) has constituted a dedicated War Room for the upcoming Municipal Corporation (MC) and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) Elections 2026 with immediate effect.

According to a notification issued from Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla, HPCC President Vinay Kumar approved the appointments for various responsibilities related to election coordination, legal affairs and social media management.

Senior Congress leader Hari Krishan Himral has been appointed as the Incharge of the War Room, while Yashpal Tanaik will serve as Co-Incharge. Ripna Kalsaik has been named the Convenor.

For War Room Coordination, Capt. S.K. Sehgal has been appointed as Coordinator, while Neeraj Bakshi, Usha Mehta and Sanjeeta Chauhan will serve as Co-Coordinators. Reena Kumari and Ankita Verma have been included as members.

The War Room Legal Cell includes advocates Naresh Verma, Yashveer Singh Rathore and Deepak Sumpha, who will oversee legal matters related to the elections.

The Social Media team will comprise Advitya Dhindora, Akshit Nanda and Parul Rathore, who will handle the party’s digital outreach and online campaign activities during the elections.

The move is aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational preparedness and coordination ahead of the crucial local body and Panchayati Raj elections in Himachal Pradesh.
