Congress Leaders Pay Tribute to Dr Y.S. Parmar, Highlight His Role in Himachal’s Formation

Shimla, May 2: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Vinay Kumar paid rich tributes to Yashwant Singh Parmar, stating that his contribution to the formation and development of the state remains unparalleled.
Speaking at a programme held at Rajiv Bhawan, Vinay Kumar said that without Dr Parmar’s vision and leadership, Himachal Pradesh might not have attained its present identity. He credited Parmar’s efforts for securing full statehood and described his simplicity and foresight as a guiding force even today.
He added that the true tribute to Dr Parmar would be to work collectively towards strengthening the party and contributing to the overall development of the state.
On the occasion, State Congress Vice President Amit Nanda also recalled Parmar’s role in shaping Himachal, highlighting landmark contributions such as land reforms under Section 118. Several party leaders and workers, including Dharamendra Dhami, Shesh Narayan Ojha, Inderjit Singh and others, offered floral tributes to the portrait of the former Chief Minister.
