Una, April 21:
Mukesh Agnihotri will inaugurate the state’s first automated driving test track and traffic park on April 22 at Roda in Haroli, marking a major step toward modernising transport infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh.
According to officials from the Regional Transport Office, the inauguration ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 AM. With this launch, Una will host the first facility of its kind in the state.
The automated driving test track is designed to make the driving licence testing process fully technology-driven and transparent. By minimising human intervention, the system will ensure fair and accurate evaluation of applicants.
In addition, the traffic park will serve as an educational space to promote road safety awareness, especially among youth and children. It aims to instill better understanding of traffic rules and responsible driving practices.
The initiative is expected to significantly enhance transparency in licensing and contribute to safer roads across the state.
