Shimla, April 14: The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank has taken a significant step toward strengthening its digital and rural banking network by inaugurating newly built, state-of-the-art branch premises in Jubbal and Saraswati Nagar.
The branches were formally inaugurated by Bank Chairman Devinder Shyam in the presence of Directors Sanjay Sharma and H. K. Himral, along with senior officials and local representatives.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairman emphasized that the bank remains committed to enhancing financial inclusion and strengthening rural economies. He noted that both branches are equipped with modern banking infrastructure and digital facilities to provide seamless, transparent, and efficient services—particularly benefiting farmers, orchardists, and local traders.
Highlighting key initiatives, he spoke about specialized loan schemes such as the Mini Pickup/Mini Truck Loan Scheme, aimed at helping farmers transport produce independently, and the High-Density Plantation Loan Scheme to promote modern horticulture practices with affordable financing.
He also underlined the bank’s focus on social responsibility and empowerment through schemes like the “Sashakt Mahila Loan Yojana” and “Sapno Ka Sanchay,” which have enabled thousands of women and children across the state to achieve financial stability.
The new branches are expected to significantly improve access to banking services in rural areas, reinforcing the bank’s vision of inclusive growth and digital empowerment.
