LR Group Hosts Panel Discussion on Youth Mental Health & Addiction in Solan

Solan, February 28, 2026: LR Group of Institutes organized a thought-provoking panel discussion titled *“The Invisible Chain: Navigating Mental Health & Addiction in Youth”* at its auditorium, focusing on rising concerns related to mental health and substance abuse among young people.
The event was held under the leadership of Managing Director Shachi Singh of LLR Educational Trust. Distinguished panelists included Dr. Ravi Chand Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Markandeshwar University; Dr. K.K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry; Anil Sharma, SDPO Solan; and BK Babita from Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.
Dr. Ravi Chand Sharma highlighted academic pressure and social media’s impact on students’ emotional well-being, emphasizing that education must shape balanced personalities, not just academic scores. SDPO Anil Sharma discussed early warning signs of substance abuse, peer pressure, and the importance of legal awareness.
Dr. K.K. Sharma underlined the role of quality education combined with spiritual grounding and mindful decision-making. BK Babita stressed stress management, meditation, and inner awareness as tools for resilience.
Addressing the gathering, Shachi Singh stated that open dialogue on mental health and addiction is essential to creating a supportive and value-based campus environment.
The session concluded with the inspiring message, “High on Life, Not on Drugs,” encouraging students to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
