Free Cataract Surgery for Senior Citizens in Hamirpur

Hamirpur, February 26: The Social Justice and Empowerment Department is providing free cataract surgeries to economically weaker senior citizens under the National Action Plan for Senior Citizens. District Welfare Officer Chaman Lal Sharma informed that two elderly beneficiaries in Hamirpur recently underwent successful cataract operations at Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College and Hospital, where high-quality lenses were implanted. The department covered all expenses, including surgery, lenses, and medicines. The initiative aims to ensure timely and quality healthcare services for senior citizens, and eligible beneficiaries have been urged to contact the District Welfare Office for assistance.
