SDM Urges Youth to Respect and Care for Elders

Hamirpur, February 26: The Social Justice and Empowerment Department organised a seminar at the District Welfare Office to promote stronger inter-generational relationships and address issues faced by senior citizens. Presiding over the event, SDM Sanjeet Singh emphasised that values of respect and care for elders should be instilled in children from an early age to build harmonious families and society. ASP Rajesh Kumar briefed participants on cyber safety measures for senior citizens, while District Welfare Officer Chaman Lal Sharma and health officials shared information on welfare schemes and age-related healthcare. Retired officers, senior citizens, and ITI trainees also participated and exchanged experiences during the interactive session.
