Mandi, February 23, 2026: Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur criticised the state government over reports that protesters linked to an AI summit incident stayed at Himachal Sadan in Delhi. In a press statement, he alleged that anti-social elements were given shelter and demanded a high-level probe by central agencies and Delhi Police. Thakur questioned the government’s “system change” claims and raised concerns about alleged financial dealings and misuse of government property, calling it damaging to the state’s image. He also accused the ruling party of politicising issues instead of focusing on governance and financial stability.
