Route Chart Approved for Smooth LPG Cylinder Supply in Shimla District

Shimla, February 10: Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap has approved route charts for all 29 gas agencies operating in Shimla to ensure smooth and timely supply of LPG cylinders to consumers.

The Deputy Commissioner said that route charts have been fixed for each gas agency to distribute cylinders at designated focal points across the district, and strict compliance has been made mandatory. The move aims to streamline distribution, especially in rural and remote areas.

District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Narender Kumar Dhiman, said that if cylinder supply cannot be made on the scheduled date due to unavoidable reasons, delivery will be ensured the following day. In such cases, prior information will be shared with panchayat representatives and consumers through WhatsApp groups and telephone calls.

He further said that all gas delivery vehicles must carry a loudspeaker, weighing machine, gas leakage detection device, and copies of the approved route chart and prescribed rates. Copies of the route charts will also be available at the respective gas agencies.
