Sporting unity on campus: Shoolini University Faculty and Staff shine in cricket tournament

Shoolini University concluded the Faculty and Staff Cricket Tournament 2026, held from January 7 to January 13. The tournament brought together faculty and staff members, promoting participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship across the campus.
The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. Ashish Khosla, Director, Innovation and Marketing, who encouraged participants to view sports as a means of unity and well-being.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by the Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Khosla, along with Mrs. Saroj Khosla, President SILB, who congratulated the players for their participation and performance.
In the Men’s Tournament, Baby Boomers won the title, while Bioengineering finished as runners-up. Rohit Sharma received the Man of the Series and Best Batsman awards, and Ashish was named Best Bowler.
In the Women’s Tournament, Powerpuff Girls emerged as winners, and Gulab Gang secured the runner-up position. Dr. Nisha Kapoor was awarded Woman of the Series, Sunita received the Best Batter award, and Mrs. Rama was named Best Bowler.
The organising committee thanked (Retd.) Brig S. D. Mehta, Director Operations for logistical and administrative support. Appreciation was also extended to Shrad, Pawan, and Gopal for match commentary, and Saurav, Dr. Brij Bhushan, Dr. Ravinder, and Mayank for officiating as umpires.
The organising committee also acknowledged the support of Prof. Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Dean Student Welfare. The tournament was organised by Mr. Vikrant Chauhan, Assistant Professor, Physical Education, who coordinated the whole event.
