NABARD Releases ₹9,356-Crore Credit Plan for Shimla District

Shimla, Dec 29, 2025: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) released the Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) for Shimla district for FY 2026–27, estimating a total priority sector credit potential of ₹9,356 crore. The plan was unveiled by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, who said the roadmap will strengthen agriculture, MSMEs, infrastructure, education, housing, and allied sectors.
As per the plan, ₹5,400.48 crore has been projected for the agriculture sector and ₹2,534.08 crore for MSMEs, aimed at boosting entrepreneurship and overall economic growth in the district. NABARD officials highlighted that the PLP forms the basis for the Annual Credit Plan under the RBI’s Lead Bank Scheme, ensuring focused credit flow to priority sectors.
