Chamba, December 18:

Officials and employees of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Chamba, took an anti-drug oath at the district office, pledging to fight against substance abuse and support the mission of a drug-free Himachal. Staff members resolved to keep themselves and their families away from drugs—especially synthetic narcotics like chitta—and to create awareness in society.

During the interaction, officials said chitta is destroying youth and has emerged as a serious social challenge. They stressed that government employees must lead by example and actively participate in awareness campaigns.

Participants also pledged to immediately report any information related to drug activity to concerned authorities to enable timely action.
