Education Minister Pays Tribute to Former PM Indira Gandhi on Her Birth Anniversary

Education Minister Rohit Thakur paid floral tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Indira Gandhi at her statue on the Ridge, remembering her remarkable role in shaping India’s political history.

Thakur said Indira Gandhi will always be remembered as a symbol of strong leadership, social transformation, and women’s empowerment. Describing her as the “Iron Lady of India,” he highlighted her unwavering decisions, visionary thinking, and ability to lead the nation through challenging times.

He added that her ideals continue to inspire their commitment to serving the state.

Senior dignitaries, including Kehar Singh Khachi, Vice Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Development Corporation, also offered floral tributes. Artists from the Information & Public Relations Department presented patriotic songs and bhajans in her honor.
