Mandi: Teacher Turns Up Drunk During School Exams, Creates Uproar

Mandi, September 27 – In a shocking incident, the head teacher of a primary school at Garaari Gaad in Nachan area of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, arrived at school heavily drunk while examinations were in progress. The teacher was reportedly so intoxicated that he was unable to even stand properly.

As soon as the matter came to light, several villagers and parents rushed to the school and recorded videos of the incident, which have now gone viral on social media. According to the School Management Committee (SMC) head, Gushal Singh, this was not the first time the teacher had come to school under the influence of alcohol. Despite repeated complaints to the department, no strict action had been taken earlier.

Panchayat Vice President Santosh Kumar, who also reached the spot, confirmed that the incident was reported to the Block Elementary Education Officer and the police, but no immediate action was initiated. Block Education Officer Devender Dharmani said the matter has been taken into consideration and further investigation will be carried out.
