Landslide Traps Family in Mandi’s Bragta Village, Rescue Operations Underway

Mandi, September 16: Heavy rains triggered a massive landslide in Bragta village of Boi panchayat under Nihri tehsil late Monday night, burying five members of a family under debris. So far, two people have been rescued safely, while the body of a woman has been recovered. Two others remain missing, and search operations are ongoing.

Continuous rainfall and the risk of further soil erosion have made rescue efforts extremely challenging. With road access blocked, local villagers are clearing debris themselves to save those trapped. Rescue teams have been dispatched by the administration, but the situation remains critical.
