Heavy Rainfall Alert: Educational Institutions Closed in Una District on September 1

Una, August 31: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Una, has ordered the closure of all Government and Private schools, colleges, ITIs, vocational training centres, and Anganwadis (except residential institutions) on 01 September 2025 (Monday) due to the Red Alert issued by IMD for heavy rainfall.

The order, issued by District Magistrate Jatin Lal (IAS), states that waterlogging, flash floods, landslides, and uprooting of trees pose a serious threat to public safety and student movement. However, teaching and administrative staff have been directed to remain present and perform their duties as required.

Authorities have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the order in the interest of safety.
