500 Volunteers to be Trained under ‘Yuva Aapda Mitra Yojana’ in Solan

Solan, August 26 – Additional Deputy Commissioner and CEO, District Disaster Management Authority Solan, Rahul Jain, announced that 500 volunteers will be trained under the Yuva Aapda Mitra Yojana.

The training will cover 200 NCC cadets, 100 NSS volunteers, 100 from Nehru Yuva Kendra, and 100 from Bharat Scouts & Guides. Candidates must be residents of Solan district, aged between 18–40 years, affiliated with the mentioned organizations, and have at least a 7th-grade qualification. Women’s participation will be encouraged with a target of 50%.

The residential training will be held at Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni, from September 28 to October 5, 2025, and again from November 21 to 27, 2025.
