Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, June 7, 2025: Former Union Minister and sitting MP from Hamirpur, Anurag Singh Thakur, extended heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for representing India on the global stage against terrorism and giving Himachal Pradesh an opportunity to participate in a critical international initiative.
During his two-day visit to Dehra and Nadaun, Thakur interacted with BJP workers and the public, addressing local issues and concerns. Speaking to the media, he highlighted India’s role in exposing Pakistan-sponsored terrorism during the official four-nation tour to Qatar, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Egypt under the G-7 framework, which took place from May 24 to June 5, 2025.
“Terrorism is a curse on humanity. Pakistan has long attempted to destabilize India through cross-border terrorism. But India’s assertive foreign policy under PM Modi has made combating terrorism our new normal,” said Thakur. He reiterated that India makes no distinction between terrorists and their political patrons, emphasizing ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched post the Pahalgam terror attack as a symbol of India’s zero-tolerance policy.
Thakur condemned Pakistan’s open support for terrorism, citing how the state honored slain Pakistani terrorists with funerals wrapped in national flags and attended by senior officials and politicians. He called out Pakistan as a certified state sponsor of terrorism.
“India is a responsible nuclear power, and we are neither intimidated by nuclear threats nor will our fight against terrorism be deterred by them,” Thakur said. He reaffirmed that India’s sovereignty, pride, and dignity remain non-negotiable.
The Indian delegation, comprising representatives from various states, parties, and linguistic backgrounds, spoke in one united voice to send a strong message: India will not tolerate terrorism and will respond decisively to every act of aggression.
