Pakistan-Sponsored Terror
Doha, Qatar / Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh | May 25, 2025 – Former Union Minister and MP from Hamirpur, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, strongly reiterated India’s “zero tolerance” policy against terrorism during the first day of the Group-7 parliamentary delegation’s official meetings in Doha, Qatar. The meetings focused on exposing Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and discussing India’s firm response, particularly in light of the recent success of the Indian Army’s ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The Indian delegation began by paying floral tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Doha. This was followed by key meetings with Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of Qatar’s Shura Council, and members of the Middle East Council for Global Affairs.
Speaking during the discussions, Anurag Thakur stated, “Terrorists infiltrating from Pakistan killed civilians in Pahalgam based on their religion. But India’s 1.4 billion people unitedly condemned this heinous act. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear: terrorism, talks, and trade cannot go hand in hand.”
He emphasized that India responded resolutely through Operation Sindoor, eliminating nine terrorist launch pads operating from Pakistan. “India will not be cowed by nuclear threats. Our fight against terrorism will not be derailed by any intimidation,” he asserted.
Thakur added, “Since 2014, the Modi government has followed a strict zero-tolerance approach. The Pahalgam attackers will face justice far worse than they imagined. Pakistan’s own nurturing of terrorism will one day lead to its downfall.”
Highlighting global concern, he said the world is now witnessing Pakistan’s disgrace, where even military officials attend terrorists’ funerals — a mark of a failed state that has sown only the seeds of terror over the past 70 years.
