New Delhi, March 24, 2025: Former Union Minister and BJP MP from Hamirpur, Anurag Singh Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Congress government in Karnataka, accusing it of “constitutional manipulation for appeasement politics.” Speaking in Parliament, Thakur alleged that Congress is determined to transform India from the land of Gandhi and Patel to Jinnah’s vision by introducing religion-based reservations for Muslims in government contracts.
Taking a strong stance, Thakur said, “Congress, which often claims to uphold the Constitution, is now distorting it solely for minority appeasement. Reservation based on religion is unconstitutional, but Congress seems determined to adopt the Muslim League’s ideology.” He vowed that BJP will fight against such attempts till its last breath to prevent Congress from achieving its divisive agenda.
He further criticized opposition leaders for “insulting India’s real heroes” and fostering a Mughal-era mindset, stating, “Instead of idolizing great warriors like Sangram Singh, Shivaji, and Maharana Pratap, they glorify invaders like Babur and Aurangzeb.”
