Rakesh Kumar Prajapati Appointed as MD of HPPCL

Shimla, March 19 – The Governor of Himachal Pradesh has appointed Shri Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, IAS (HP:2012), Director, Energy, Himachal Pradesh, as the Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (HPPCL), Shimla. He will hold this additional charge, relieving Shri Harikesh Meena, IAS (HP:2012), with immediate effect, until further orders.

The decision has been made in the public interest to ensure the smooth functioning of HPPCL, a key player in the state’s power generation and hydroelectric projects.
