Bilaspur: ITI Student Commits Suicide

Bilaspur, January 24, 2025: An 18-year-old ITI student, Abhi Sharma, from Una district was found dead by hanging in his rented home in the village of Rachhehra under the Jhanduta police station. Abhi was pursuing a welding course at a private ITI in Ghumarwin but expressed his disinterest in continuing the course, expressing a desire to switch to hairdressing.

Reportedly, Abhi returned home on Wednesday and shared his wish with his family. The following day, he was found hanging in his room. He was living with his mother and sister in rented accommodation.

Upon receiving the information, Jhanduta Police reached the scene and initiated an investigation. Station In-Charge Jagdish Kumar confirmed the incident and said the body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
