Education with Values and Ethics is Essential: Sanjay Awasthi

Arki, November 21: Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi emphasized that proper education, values, and ethics are crucial for shaping mature individuals. He was addressing the annual function of Government Senior Secondary School, Ghadyach, in the Arki constituency.

Earlier, Awasthi inaugurated the newly constructed Patwar Circle office in Sharol, built at a cost of ₹12 lakh. He also flagged off a bus service from Kuiru Nala to the Bajot-Ghadyach road.

Highlighting the importance of holistic education, Awasthi stated, “The purpose of education is not just passing exams but gaining knowledge. School education lays the foundation for a brighter future.” He urged teachers to inculcate moral values in students alongside academics and stressed that proper guidance is vital for youth to become role models for society.

Awasthi announced the establishment of Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day Boarding Schools in every constituency to provide quality education and sports facilities at a single location.

He also revealed plans for a ₹150 crore ropeway project from Savava village near Piplughat to Baridhar, aiming to boost tourism and employment opportunities in the Arki region.

Awasthi committed ₹22 lakh for constructing an additional school building at Ghadyach and ₹2 lakh for a community building. He also promised to expedite work on the Diothal link road and build a library for the school.

Addressing local issues, he directed officials to resolve grievances promptly and distributed prizes to meritorious students. The MLA also donated ₹21,000 to the organizing committee and ₹2,100 to students who performed cultural programs.
