Mandi: During a BJP organizational meeting on active membership and organizational elections held at the Sundernagar office, Himachal Pradesh BJP President Dr. Rajeev Bindal criticized Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu, accusing him of failing to fulfill his 5 election promises while achieving “5 hidden guarantees” that harm the state. The meeting was attended by BJP National Vice President Rekha Verma, State In-charge Shrikant Sharma, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, and other senior leaders.

Dr. Bindal stated that the BJP’s membership drive has been highly successful, with over 14 lakh members joining online and an additional 1.5 lakh through offline efforts, breaking previous records. He outlined the organization’s plan to form booth committees across 8,000 booths in Himachal, aiming to energize grassroots levels. He also emphasized upcoming district-level workshops and the importance of including representatives from all sections of society.

Targeting CM Sukhu, Dr. Bindal alleged that the “hidden guarantees” include closing 1,500 institutions, depriving citizens of jobs, imposing heavy taxes, favoring friends and allies with high-ranking posts, and increasing the state’s debt by Rs 25,000 crore. He noted that all major development projects in Himachal, like road development, the Jal Jeevan Mission, health schemes, and PMGSY, are sponsored by the central government.
