Four Himachal Players Selected for Asia Korfball Championship

Four players from Himachal Pradesh, Yamini Dahelu (Shimla), Suraj Sharma, Sarang Sharma (Solan), and Upasana (Mandi), have been selected to represent India at the Asia Korfball Championship in Hong Kong from November 4 to 10, 2023. Their selection was announced by the Vice President of the All India Korfball Association, B.R. Suman, who praised the players for their exceptional performances at the national and international levels. The players will undergo a training camp at Lovely Professional University from October 15 to 31.
In another achievement, Japneet Singh, a talented cricketer from Paonta Sahib, has been selected to play in the U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy, which will be held in Chandigarh starting October 4. Japneet, an all-rounder, has received coaching from Ashwani Rai and former Ranji player Gurvinder Singh, and recently completed his training at the National Cricket Academy.
These selections bring pride to Himachal Pradesh as its athletes continue to excel in national and international sports arenas.
