Sirmaur, August 27: BJP Himachal Pradesh President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, addressing the BJP membership campaign training session in Nahan, criticized the Congress government for its failure to deliver on promises made to the people of Himachal Pradesh. He pointed out that there has been no relief in bus fares, electricity, cement prices, or ration, burdening the public further under the current regime.
Bindal announced that the BJP is set to launch a membership drive from September 1, with a target of adding 16 lakh members in Himachal Pradesh alone. He emphasized that the campaign, seen as a grand festival by the party, aims to recruit 200 members per booth across the state, with a national goal of over 10 crore members.
He took the opportunity to highlight BJP’s commitment to inclusive and democratic processes, which he claims sets the party apart from the 1,500 other political parties in India. Bindal sharply criticized the Congress, accusing it of halting the state’s development and failing to deliver on promises such as employment for the youth, financial relief for women, and support for farmers.
