BJP Criticizes Congress Government’s Anti-People Policies
1 min readUna, July 17, 2024 – BJP state president Dr. Rajeev Bindal addressed a press conference in Una, harshly criticizing the Congress government for its alleged anti-people policies and lack of development. Bindal challenged the Congress to serve the public rather than depriving them of their rights, pointing out that in 18 months, the Congress has set the state back by ten years.
Bindal accused the Congress government of being self-serving and questioned whether it operates solely for the benefit of its allies. He highlighted that the current government has closed over 1,500 institutions, merged 800 schools, and revoked the provision of 125 free electricity units. He also mentioned the termination of several schemes like Sahara Yojana and Him Care, accusing the government of counting these closures as achievements.
Bindal further criticized the government for increasing fuel prices, thereby placing an additional burden of Rs 25,000 crore on the public annually. He ridiculed the government for failing to provide the promised 300 free electricity units while also taking back the 125 units granted by the previous administration.
He pointed out that despite Congress’s heavy losses in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and by-elections, the party is attempting to set a misleading narrative of victory. Bindal noted the significant win of Anurag Thakur in Hamirpur and the Congress’s loss in the Chief Minister’s own constituency during the assembly elections.
Additionally, Bindal participated in an organizational meeting for the upcoming BJP executive committee session, along with key BJP leaders including state general secretary Siddharthan, Biharilal Sharma, Sikandar Kumar, and others.
