Rajiv Bindal Criticizes Congress, Challenges Sukhjinder Singh Sukhu on Development

2 min read

In a spirited address in Shimla, Dr. Rajiv Bindal, BJP’s state president, launched a scathing attack on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, accusing it of fostering a culture of thuggery and intimidation rather than focusing on genuine development initiatives. Bindal urged voters to scrutinize the Congress party’s claims and promises against their actual delivery on the ground.

Drawing attention to the Dehra constituency, Bindal questioned the accomplishments of Sukhjinder Singh Sukhu, the sitting MLA, over the past 18 months. He emphasized that instead of delivering on essential infrastructure projects like a 200-bed hospital, which could have been crucial for the region’s healthcare needs, Sukhu’s tenure has been marked by unfulfilled promises and inadequate governance.

Bindal also highlighted the closure of essential facilities in Sukhu’s hometown of Naduan, including the SDM office and primary health centers, raising concerns among locals about neglect and mismanagement under the Congress regime. He accused Sukhu of prioritizing political patronage over public welfare, alleging that Sukhu’s associates have been involved in activities that exploit and oppress the people of Dehra.

Further criticizing Sukhu’s administration, Bindal pointed out discrepancies between promises made and actions taken, asserting that Sukhu’s tenure has been marked by empty rhetoric rather than tangible improvements in governance. He urged voters in Dehra to consider these issues carefully and make an informed decision in the upcoming elections.

Bindal concluded by affirming BJP’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and genuine development, contrasting it with what he described as the Congress party’s track record of broken promises and authoritarian governance.
