St. Thomas School, Shimla, Hosts Centenary Carnival in Centenary Celebration

St. Thomas School in Shimla, currently celebrating its centenary year, organized a grand Centenary Carnival as part of its festivities. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Pooja Negi Rajta, an alumna of the school and a distinguished doctor at IGMC, who served as the chief guest. Dr. Rajta expressed her pride in being a former student and praised the school’s progress and the opportunity such events provide for community engagement.
Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty highlighted that the school hosts a fete or carnival every year, featuring various stalls and games organized by students and teachers. This year’s carnival saw participation from students of several schools, including Shimla Public School, Auckland House Girls School, and Auckland House Boys School, among others.
The carnival offered a wide array of games and activities, such as Wheel of Fortune, Target Shooting, Hit the Heart, Lucky Dip, and Horse Race. Additionally, there were numerous food stalls serving pastries, burgers, cold drinks, ice cream, chow mein, biryani, and more, which were enjoyed by all attendees.
This year’s Centenary Carnival was especially significant as it marks 100 years of St. Thomas School’s establishment, making the event a memorable milestone in the school’s rich history.
