On the fourth day of the NSS camp, a significant community outreach and educational initiative took place. The day began with an insightful survey focused on the Ayushman Bharat card scheme. NSS volunteers visited the village, engaging with local residents to raise awareness about the benefits and application process of the Ayushman Bharat card. This interaction not only provided crucial information to the villagers but also strengthened the bond between the NSS volunteers and the community.
The post-lunch session featured a compelling lecture on “Viksit Bharat @2047” by Dr. Arun Kant Painoli, the Dean of the SMS Department. The session saw notable attendees, including Student Welfare Officer Ms. Sushma Singh, NSS Program Officer Ms. Ankita Thakur, along with other coordinators and faculty members.
Dr. Painoli emphasized several critical areas for India’s future development, including technology, infrastructure, and the economy. He highlighted important national initiatives such as Swachh Bharat (Clean India), Swasth Bharat (Healthy India), and the campaign to ban polythene. Throughout his comprehensive presentation, Dr. Painoli motivated the volunteers by reminding them of their role as the youth and voice of the nation, capable of driving significant change and progress.
At the end of the session, Dr. Painoli was honored with a memento as a token of appreciation for his enlightening talk. The day’s activities concluded with Ms. Ankita Thakur briefing the volunteers about the schedule for the following day.
Overall, Day 4 was marked by meaningful community interaction and enriching educational sessions, contributing significantly to the holistic development of the NSS volunteers.
