UK based RHUL and Shoolini University sign agreement for joint academics

In a landmark move towards global academic collaboration, Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, University of London, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Shoolini University, establishing a transformative 2+2 articulation programme. This innovative initiative seeks to empower students enrolled at Shoolini University to seamlessly transition to Royal Holloway after completing the first two years of their undergraduate studies in India.
Delegates from Royal Holloway University included Dr. Lucy Gill-Simmen, Vice Dean of Education and Senior Lecturer, Business and Management; Dr. James McEvoy, Head of Biological Sciences; Dr. Argyrios Deligkas, Senior Lecturer, Computer Science; Lucy Thomas, Global Engagement Director; Akhil Bagga, Regional Manager, South Asia. Shoolini University Chancellor Prof. P. K. Khosla, Dean of Research and Development Prof. Sourabh Kulshreshtha, along with other deans and directors, were present at the occasion.
The 2+2 programme, outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement, opens avenues for students pursuing bachelor’s degrees at Shoolini University to join specified undergraduate courses at Royal Holloway, subject to meeting predefined entry requirements. Upon successful completion of the initial two years of their curriculum at Shoolini University, students will be granted admission to Royal Holloway for a period of two academic years, culminating in the attainment of a Royal Holloway award.
Under this agreement, Shoolini University will spearhead promotion, recruitment, and admissions, supported by Royal Holloway’s provision of comprehensive information on studying at the institution. Students will undergo English language proficiency assessments, ensuring they meet Royal Holloway’s stringent academic standards. Upon admission, students will enjoy access to Royal Holloway’s extensive support services for international students, facilitating a smooth transition to academic life in the United Kingdom.
