Youth Tourism Club of St. Thomas School, Shimla, Conducts Cleanliness Campaign
1 min readThe Youth Tourism Club of St. Thomas School, Shimla, along with students from the National Cadet Corps (NCC), organized a cleanliness campaign near the New Spring area of Shimla city with the cooperation of the Shimla Municipal Corporation. The program was attended by the Mayor of Shimla, Surendra Chauhan, councilors, officials, and employees of the municipal corporation. During the program, participants removed plastic and garbage from the surroundings, sending a message of environmental conservation.
The initiative was undertaken to keep the tourist city of Shimla clean, inspiring all residents to contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of the city. Mayor Surendra Chauhan expressed gratitude for the school’s participation in the cleanliness campaign and encouraged them to participate in such initiatives in the future as well.
The students took an oath to keep the environment clean and tidy. In this campaign, 35 students, along with the coordinator of the Youth Tourism Club of St. Thomas School, Shimla, Surendra Sharma, and Purushottam Singh, participated enthusiastically.
