50 units collected during blood donation camp at Nauni varsity
1 min readA blood donation camp was organized by the Lion’s Club Solan at Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni on Wednesday. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel who was also the first blood donor in the camp. The faculty and students of the university also showed enthusiasm to donate blood. The blood donation was coordinated by the medical officers of the Regional Hospital Solan and the University Health Center.
Prof. Chandel congratulated the volunteers and the organizers for actively participating in noble causes. He said that blood donation does not have any harmful effect on the donor and helps to save precious lives. He lauded the work done by the Lion’s Club members for the betterment of the society. The statutory officers of the university along with members of Lion’s Club were present on the occasion. Fifty units of blood were collected during the camp.
