“Innovate with NVIDIA: From Zero to Hero” marked a technological milestone at JUIT, as the SIAM JUIT Chapter orchestrated a transformative event from November 23 to November 27, 2023. The convergence of aspiring technologists explored the synergy of software and hardware, diving into realms such as 10T, NVIDIA Kit, Micro-controllers, and other cutting-edge components.
Guided by Mr. Ekal Sharma, an ex-SIAM JUIT councilman with a rich background in IoT and Robotics, participants embarked on a three-day workshop from November 23 to November 25. This immersive experience introduced them to the intricacies of 10T, NVIDIA kit, microprocessors, and pivotal components shaping modern technological advancements.
The workshop not only served as a primer but delved into the exciting world of Arduino, providing hands-on experience. This equipped participants to grasp the nuances of cutting-edge technologies, laying the foundation for their transformative ideas.
Transitioning seamlessly into a hackathon from November 26 to November 28, participants applied their newfound knowledge. Teams collaborated tirelessly, utilizing the power of Jetson Nano NVIDIA kit and 10T to create innovative solutions, pushing the boundaries of technological possibilities.
For first-year participants, an exclusive ideathon continued the excitement, offering a platform for budding innovators. This segment aimed to inspire and encourage the next generation of tech enthusiasts from the outset of their academic journey.
The culmination of the hackathon and ideathon showcased remarkable ingenuity. In the ideathon, Team Dot 04, led by Manya Sethi, claimed the first position with innovative ideas, securing a coveted prize of Rs.3000. Simultaneously, in the hackathon, Team Innovision, led by Saurav Kumar, secured the first position with a demonstration of technological prowess, earning a substantial cash prize of Rs.4000. Team Incognito, led by Anant Sharma, secured the second position, garnering a prize of Rs.3000, highlighting the depth of talent and dedication displayed.
