BJP Counters Mukesh Agnihotri’s Claims: Rajeev Bindal Calls Them False

Shimla, November 16, 2023* – Responding to the statements made by Mukesh Agnihotri, Deputy Chief Minister, BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal accused him of spreading falsehoods. Bindal stated that Mukesh Agnihotri’s remarks are baseless, particularly those related to fulfilling guarantees.
Dr. Bindal commented that during the 2022 elections, Agnihotri made numerous promises and guarantees without specifying how he intended to fulfill them. Bindal added that every wall in every village and every alley in Himachal Pradesh was filled with assurances, and the Congress party claimed they would fulfill all guarantees in the first cabinet meeting if elected.
The BJP President alleged that Agnihotri, along with other Congress leaders, tirelessly propagated their commitment to providing one lakh government jobs during the first cabinet meeting. However, almost a year into the government’s term, not a single person has been given employment. Dr. Bindal highlighted that even those who were previously employed by the former BJP government have lost their jobs.
Dr. Bindal questioned the Congress party’s commitment to permanent employment, especially as proposals for contractual positions, including those in the Forest Department, lack clear policies. He asserted that besides the unemployed, women, farmers, the poor, and youth—all those to whom guarantees were given—are feeling deceived by the Congress.
The BJP leader concluded by saying that the people of the state possess copies of Congress leaders’ speeches, making it impossible for them to be fooled.
