1 min readShimla, October 11: In a heart-wrenching incident in the Rohru area of Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh, a third-grade student met a tragic end while innocently playing on a swing. After returning home from school, the young child took a rope and began to swing from a tree. Unbeknownst to him, the swing turned into a life-threatening ordeal.
His younger sister had inquired about his purpose when she saw him carrying the rope, to which he innocently replied that he was going out to play. The rope was tied to a tree, and due to the sloping terrain, it caused the rope to entangle around the child’s neck, leading to his painful demise.
As soon as a Nepali resident of the area discovered the situation, he promptly lowered the child. However, it was too late to save him. The Rohru police confirmed that the child, who hailed from Nepali origins, lost his life due to the unfortunate swing incident. He was a third-grade student.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chaman Kumar confirmed that the body has been handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination. The police are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case.
