Shoolini University celebrates Gandhi Jayanti with Swachhta Campaign

The 154th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was celebrated at Shoolini University with an awe-inspiring Swachhta campaign that epitomised his unwavering commitment to cleanliness and cultural preservation.
As a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, Shoolini University embarked on a remarkable journey that retraced his historic footsteps. The highlight of the celebration was a special visit to Dagshai museum. Mahatma Gandhi’s footprints marked his entry into the picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh. The visit to Dagshai museum not only invoked the memory of this historical moment but also served as a poignant reminder of Gandhi’s enduring legacy.
With Mahatma Gandhi’s vision that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness,” a sweeping cleanliness campaign was organised at the revered Jatoli temple, an integral heritage site in the heart of Solan city. Through “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta” initiative, which was called by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra  Modi  to urged the people to dedicate one hour to clean the surroundings,  and contribute  to a cleaner India.
“Ek Din Ek Ghanta,” campaign also encouraged students to unite and dedicate one hour of their time to cleanse and preserve the pristine surroundings of the Jatoli temple.
The entire event was organised by the team of the Office of Dean Student Welfare, led by Mrs. Poonam Nanda Dean Student Welfare.
She said Shoolini University’s grand Swachhta campaign was organised to promote values that shape not only the minds but also the character of its students.
