Hamirpur : Woman accused local youth of sexually assault

Hamirpur, Sept 30 : A woman has accused a local youth in the Diotsiddh area of attempting to sexually assault her against her will. The police have registered a case in this regard.
According to the woman’s statement to the police, she was returning home from the Kalwal Bazaar after purchasing medicine. During her journey, she encountered a young man from the village in a sugarcane field. Subsequently, he allegedly attempted to establish physical contact with her against her will, and she managed to escape with her husband’s help.
The Badsar police have registered a case under various sections, including Section 376 (rape) and Section 511 (attempting to commit an offense), of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lalman Sharma has confirmed the registration of the case.
