Massive Landslide Hits Shimla-Dharamshala Highway

Bilaspur, August 13: Near the Namhol Dagesh Temple on Shimla-Dharamshala National Highway-103 in the district, a significant landslide has occurred. Two to three houses and four vehicles have been caught in the debris.

According to information, pictures of landslides have been emerging from various places due to heavy rainfall in the past few days. Consequently, a massive landslide has occurred in Dagesh on National Highway-103, burying two to three houses, a cowshed, and four vehicles under a substantial amount of debris. Upon receiving information about the landslide, people had evacuated their homes.

Meanwhile, vehicles parked by the roadside were also caught in the landslide. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. As soon as the information was received, the police and administration teams reached the scene to assess the situation. Following the extensive landslide, Shimla-Dharamshala National Highway-103 near Namhol has been closed. Additionally, in the village of Samri in the Dayoth gram panchayat, four houses are under threat due to landslides.
