Himachal: PK Dhumal blasts Cong party

Hamirpur (HP), Aug 2 –  Senior BJP leader, PK Dhumal said on Wednesday blasted the SS Sukhoo-headed Congress party government in the state of spreading misinformation on calamity relief given by the central government.
Talking to a group of local reporters, he said that the central government was doing its best to help the calamity hit people of the state and it was wrong to say that the central government had done nothing in this respect.
He said that the visit of Union Road surface minister, Nitin Gadkari and earlier by All India BJP chief, JP Nadda and Union Information-cum-Broadcasting minister, Anurag Thakur was indicative to this that how much the BJP-led central government was serious about the tragedy that had struck all parts of the state.
Talking about the demand of the Chief Minister to declare the tragedy in Himachal a national disaster, Dhumal said that first, the leaders of the Congress government should know that the Congress government itself had set the rules in the year 2008 to declare a national disaster, but now due to lack of knowledge, the Congress leaders are making statements.
Dhumal said that relief had already been released from the Central Government for the disaster in Himachal. Dhumal said that after the assessment by the central government, it will give its report, after which more help will be given to Himachal. He said that if less assistance would have been received, more assistance would be given. Dhumal said that there should be compensation for the calamity, but the rules have to be followed by all. ‘The central government team will assess and give its report after which more help will be given to Himachal’.
He said,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers Himachal as his home’ and for that, he was doing a lot and he has left no stone unturned to help Himachal. Dhumal said that the Modi government at the Center is working considering the interests of Himachal as paramount.
Dhumal appealed to the people not to fall prey to the false propaganda of the Congress party and other opposition parties and had full faith in the BJP as the BJP was their benefactor.
